Election Day

Election Day’s upon us! Will democracy survive
Or will a fascist win allow dictatorship to thrive?
There’s never been a clearer choice between sides blue and red
So how can anybody undecided stay instead
Of absolutely certain how to cast the vote they’ll ply
Based on whether they buy honest truth or gaslit lie?

Election Day’s upon us! When it’s past will we still be

A democratic nation striving for equality

Or will manipulation of a cultist worshipped fool

By billionaires allow white oligarchy to all rule?

The choice is very clear to anyone with eyes and brain

So how can anybody undecided still remain?

Election Day’ upon us! Will the final votes they count

Bring the total tally to a sufficient amount

To clearly determine which the winning side will be

Or will they open floodgates for legal chicanery

To enter in as each side spins arguments pro and con

Caused by results too close to call that drag things on and on?

Election Day’s upon us! After it’s post-fighting’s done

Will democracy still be seen shining in the sun

Of will darkness descend on us like other places that

Convinced enough conned voters to pin freedom to the mat

Through lies and influencers and AI ads to enslave

Lands once proud to be free because not enough remained brave?
