Given how the GOP’s stacked state levels throughout
America with legislatures to build right-wing clout
From the bottom up unlike their fine rich donor friends
Who from the top don’t let cash drop as trickle down depends
It’s great to glimpse a ray of sunlight no matter how dim
That’s polarizing stacked Republicans in Michigan.

The Michigan Republican Chair’s in a lot of trouble
Her odds of hanging on to her job have been ground to rubble
By a deep separation splitting the state’s GOP
With few on her side of the great divide that’s come to be
Perhaps as indication of GOP party fate
If other red states follow suit and say their chairs ain’t great.
A movement to oust her from the chair she has occupied
For less than one year shows the GOP's not unified
Any longer in the state shaped like a giant mitten
Where there are few remaining who with their state chair are smitten
Which is why she found herself speaking to an empty hall
At a meeting it was her role as their chair to call.
Very few were in attendance in the place she spoke
Because most held their own meeting thus making her’s a joke
Michigan Republicans by voting with their feet
Indicate their party chair they may kick to the street
Which maybe also indicates a sunlit ray of hope
That GOP state power’s slipping on a downward slope.
