The “People’s Convoy” truckers came to Washington DC
And blew upon their air horns to show solidarity

While trying to around the beltway drive a lap or two
Which unlike up in Canada they found quite hard to do
Because although a thousand trucks assembled to complain
Their plan to drive together as one convoy was in vain.

It turns out Washington DC’s well earned its reputation

As the worst place in which to stay together in the nation

The truckers found out DC drivers ignore the speed limit

And never let much slower trucks delay them for a minute

Try as they might the truckers could not circle the beltway

Together as one group with DC drivers holding sway.

As a symbol divided convoys are seen easily:

The worst place for staying together’s Washington DC

From its halls of Congress to its beltway circle round

Of those trying to stay together few today are found

Divisions on the beltway are caused by how drivers steer

Divisions in Congress are caused by big lies driving fear.
