Trump started out calling Putin a “genius” and “smart”
And for a few weeks kept it up while the world tore apart
But suddenly the tune he’s singing’s different indeed
Because like everything he does his motivation’s greed
And greed’s now changed his tune because his dim brain realized
With Putin gone his money laundering would be resized!

When Putin started talking tough about his Ukraine war

Trump’s knee-jerk reaction was to kiss his ass yet once more

Because for years acting as Putin’s useful idiot

He saw no reason to change the role Vlad assigned one bit

But then the world turned against Putin and a revelation

Turned a small light bulb on in his dim brain and brought elation.

Trump’s Russian debt problem had grown vast because day by day

Billions of rubles Russians sent him to launder away

But if from Putin and his oligarchs inflow went slack

Due to his war and their sanctions why give their money back?

It would be his alone to add to his net worth, OK?

Or so the lightbulb in dim brain showed to him the way.

Thus Putin’s pig’s ear war to Trump stopped being a silk purse

And words like “genius” and “smart” his pig lips did reverse

Because the rubles he’s run through his money laundry

Are squeaky clean awaiting to be his eternally

If war gets Vladimir deposed and the world’s sanctions break

The oligarchs he’ll keep every clean ruble he can make.

And so the Ukraine war he’s started calling “holocaust”

And in history's dustbin Putin he hopes soon gets tossed

Because sooner is better for Russia to be defeated

Because his chance to keep clean rubles will not be repeated

So that is why he suddenly hopes Ukraine wins the war:

To pocket the wealth he’s laundered debt free forevermore.
