Memory Whole

News captured on film and/or written down on paper too
And/or recorded on mag tape makes Republicans blue
When it documents their part played in the Jan 6 coup
And so they say it’s fake, ignore it, it’s simply not true
And hope denying it enough will make it hide away
Within a deep memory hole from here on out to stay.

Of things they hope their hole will hide if they dig it down far

Kevin McCarthy’s phone call to Trump’s is way over par

Although his screams have been reported ad infinitum

He’s desperately digging a hole to shove them deep down in

Because although fearful back then he fears what Trump will do

If memory of his cowardice that day keeps getting through.

The psycho knife blade Trump holds at necks of cowards like Kevin

Cranks their fear he’ll disavow them up way past eleven

Despite the fear they felt Jan 6 they’d not get out alive

To dig a hole to bury memory of fear they strive

But try as they may to dig deep with a hole as their goal

Those angered by their role that day keep our memory whole.
