Democrats are trying hard to please the population
Through policies designed to help those living in our nation
To find it easy to raise kids or to find a good job
Or pay the rent or buy a house or through traffic jams plod
They believe that their policies should benefit the masses
So popularism underlies all stuff they hope passes.
Republicans don’t care what majorities say to do

To popular opinion polls they respond with “Screw You!”
They know they can do anything and still get re-elected
Because the right-wing media is extremely infected
With pundits whose fear mongering continues unabated
To make GOP voting and poll results unrelated.
Democrats had better learn popular hardly matters
To governors tearing laws in their states to shreds and tatters
Who are extremely confident no matter what they do
Although unpopular their legislatures can push through
Because fears sown by Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN
Will get Republicans elected again and again.
So how can Democrats hope to fake fear lies overcome
When they’re broadcast nonstop from dawn ‘till way past setting sun?
‘Though polls indicate what the general public might desire
They do not matter if they don’t make governors perspire
Because lie-based fear mongering is working overtime
To keep the public on the right keep on voting in line.
