When it comes to gerrymandering Texas is great
At coming up with millions of ways to divide a state
Into a jigsaw puzzle of bizarrely scrambled shapes
That can’t again be reassembled into clear landscapes
Because they include donut holes, zigzags, and curlycues

Designed to fragment voting so Democrats always lose.

The pretzel shapes the state is twisting itself into begs

All logic because each has been designed by rotten eggs

To realign their voting districts to ensure they win 

Forever after by making their fatter places thin

And thinner places fat and twisting each one all around

Until weird pretzel logic convolutes once level ground.

And as in Texas so in Florida and Oklahoma

And all red states sleepwalking in a Trump cult kool aid coma

As each fragments to stop elections once run free and fair

From finding level ground because it’s in such disrepair

Thanks to the gerrymandering splitting red states asunder

By Republican rotten eggs to smooth their paths to plunder.
