The Trump Scale

We need a new term to describe ‘corruption’ succinctly 
Because ‘Teapot Dome’s’ no longer the worst term there can be
Describing corruption after Trump’s crooked four year reign
Which made the Teapot Dome’s corruption look extremely tame
Allowed by and under Trump corruption reigned so supreme
That a new Trump-related term’s needed as the new mean.

Given Trump’s skin bronzer maybe ‘Orange Man’ might serve

To summarize corruption’s scale well beyond the bell curve

Or given his comb-over perhaps ‘Dome’ could see reuse

As in ‘Bald Spot Dome’ to label the height of his abuse

But his corruption was such an extremely toxic dump

The best term to rate future corruption has to be ‘TRUMP’.

All cases of corruption hereafter led by top chumps

In government could be rated by assigning them ‘TRUMPS’

The TRUMP scale would assign them ratings from one up to ten

And let’s all hope ‘10-TRUMP’ corruption we don’t see again

But over time some other bastard claiming choice by heaven

May be so corrupt we’ll have to crank TRUMPs up to 11.

State level corruption is sitting somewhere in the middle

Of the TRUMP scale as with voter suppression laws they fiddle

While the corruption conducted by each Trump wannabe

Is less than 3 because they’re based on such stupidity

Post-Trump no other corruption has gained a higher sum

Than maybe 5 on the TRUMP scale, but 11 will come.
