Cut Slash And Burn

It’s really very simple when it’s done mathematically:

More money for poor and working classes means less for ME

And for MY billionaire friends I’m desperate to emulate

And so to heap enormous tax cuts on oligarchs’ plate

Starting with MINE and Elon’s followed by Jeff’s and Mark’s too

I must slash benefits to take handouts away from you!

To that end MY GOP House toads are floating plans

To cut back funding for handouts if not pass total bans

On them so MY great tax cuts won’t increase the so-called “debt”

As much as they did last time I controlled the government

Which I would have controlled straight through to now but for the break

That Covid and a stolen election forced ME to take.

It took four years of whining about being robbed but now

I’m back and ready to immense tax cuts once again plow

Straight up to enrich oligarchs at the top of the heap

Who bankrolled ME and so expect ME to promises keep

To make them (and ME!) vastly richer by slashing way back

“Social programs” brought about by “empathy” we lack.

GOP toads will follow orders to cut slash and burn

Every benefit designed to help those who don’t earn

Enough to afford groceries like expensive eggs that I

And others give our massive kitchen staffs loose change to buy

And not only cut slash and burn but to eliminate

Every benefit but those that heap cash on our plate.

If poor and working classes don’t have bootstraps strong enough

To pull themselves up higher on the food chain with that’s tough

But don’t expect us oligarchs to help in any way

We’re much too busy making sure our trust funds grow each day

So screw the poor if they unlike each self-made billionaire

Did not inherit enough to fund their right not to share!!!
