Trump himself called NPR but after minutes nine
Hung up in a hissy fit when questions about lyin’
He felt they asked too many times so like a spoiled brat
He hung the phone up he had used to instigate the spat
And went off in a huff no longer on air to be seen
Although the interview’s minutes had been set for fifteen.
Hung up in a hissy fit when questions about lyin’
He felt they asked too many times so like a spoiled brat
He hung the phone up he had used to instigate the spat
And went off in a huff no longer on air to be seen
Although the interview’s minutes had been set for fifteen.
It was a big surprise the interview he caused to be
Because NPR is so not his on-air cup of tea
But he called them up so at least for part of the time schedule
Responded to their questions without overt dissemble
But questions about his big lie to which the news is prone
Brought out the toddler within so he hung up the phone.
Harry Truman was the one who said if too much heat
In kitchens one could not take they had better sound retreat
And get out while the getting’s good before they’re overcome
With regret they had entered in and not from the place run
The same saying’s applicable to on-air interviews
When you’re their instigator questions are not yours to choose.
Trump’s toddler was true to form when the going got tough
He took his ball and ran from questions that were way too rough
To answer truthfully because to truth he’s disinclined
When responding to questions that are with his lies aligned
So when asked to address those lies took ball and ran away
Even though it was he who first put that ball in play.
